GLM House Inc. – A PATH to Purpose, Partnership, and People-Centered Impact

GLM House helps people move from homelessness to stable housing through a wide range of Community Supports services. Thanks to the Providing Access and Transforming Health (PATH) Technical Assistance (TA) Marketplace, they are improving health and housing services for clients across San Diego County.

Prior to engaging in PATH, GLM had limited understanding of California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) and the programs available through Community Supports. By partnering with their selected TA Marketplace vendor, 43 Strategic Consulting (43SC), GLM has strengthened their understanding of CalAIM and now presents on the initiative to the clients and communities they serve.

“This knowledge has empowered us to better navigate the system and support our clients in accessing available services,” said GLM Operations Manager Karen Fontenette.

When GLM founder Amelia Broadnax was asked what she appreciated most about working with their PATH TA vendor 43SC, she shared, “This work has allowed us to refine internal processes, pilot Medi-Cal-reimbursable workflows, and prepare our team to hit the ground running. I appreciate how the 43SC team pivoted to acclimate to GLM energy and enthusiasm. It feels like the 43SC team really cares about GLM and wants GLM to win. Working with 43SC has opened new doors and strengthened relationships for us. The experience has expanded our organizational toolbox making us stronger and increasing our impact in San Diego County.

“PATH has not only guided us, but it’s helped us grow with integrity,” Broadnax added. “GLM House is now a stronger, smarter, and more sustainable partner in San Diego’s housing and health ecosystem. We are grateful for the roadmap and look forward to continuing to build, with purpose.”

So far, GLM House has reported:

  • More than 100 people served since July 2024 through the Twilight Outreach initiative
  • 11 people moved into housing since Twilight’s launch
  • 3 people increased their income through GLM House Landscaping workforce initiative
  • 4 people reconnected to health care
  • 11 residents stayed in housing for more than 60 days, supported through a trauma-informed, accountability-driven environment

As one client shared “Since joining GLM House, I have been given a new lease on life. Having stable housing allowed me to rebuild and refocus, and as a result, I have now returned to the work sector that once saved my life. I am truly grateful for GLM House and the opportunities it has provided. This experience has been a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of community support.”
